Modern Slavery Statement

Our commitment to ethical practice and preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.

Our commitment

Bymead House Nursing Home is committed to acting ethically, responsibly and transparently and to taking reasonable steps to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations and supply relationships.

Care sector responsibilities

Social care depends on people, recruitment and a wide supplier network. Our approach includes appropriate recruitment checks, safeguarding culture, routes for staff to raise concerns, responsible procurement and escalation where exploitation is suspected.

Reporting concerns

Staff, residents, relatives and suppliers should raise concerns through the appropriate management or safeguarding route. Concerns involving immediate risk or suspected criminal exploitation should be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Review

We keep our approach under review and update our practices when governance, recruitment arrangements or supply-chain requirements change.
